CV Writing 101

Most of us worry every time we drop our CV off at a new company. Will they take a look at it or not? Will I be selected? Will they even take out time to read the whole thing? These are just some of the questions that may plague you once you have sent in your application for a prospective job. Well don’t worry! Follow these simple tips and you’ll be able to write yourself the catchiest CV one could ask for.

Talk about your strengths: There is a difference between being good at something and being skilled at something. Start off with your skills and show the company how you can be an asset to them. Mention the areas in which you have experience instead of having the reader go through the boring bits which don’t add towards your CV.

Make it stand out: Take the time to make your resume stand out. The best thing about this is that you can employ one of your skills to do that. Not only will your CV stand out but the employer will see what you can do.

Be Brief: Make it short, make it sweet. No one has the time to go through long CV’s write down only the  relevant things  which make you shine.
Bad Templates: Your CV should be visually appealing. Make the employer want to pick it up. That is always the first step. Avoid using standard templates off the internet like every other person.

Did you just get motivated to write a totally catchy CV? Great now post it to where we’ll put you in touch some of the best employers and organizations in the world.
